Workshop invitation: "Biomass from sustainable managed Natural Parks - Strategies for establishing sustainable supply chains"
The event will take place on October 27 (from 2 to 4 pm)
Kolpinghaus Regensburg, Congress & Cultural Center - Adolph Kolping-Straße 1, 93047 Regensburg

The importance of biomass for the production of energy is steadily increasing in Europe. We want to discuss the potential and possibilities of the use of sustainable and local biomass from nature parks. In addition, the workshop will contribute to the networking of relevant target groups and encourage experiences exchange.
This invitation is primarily addressed to representatives of nature parks, experts/representatives from the field of bioenergy, and thus to the interested public. During the workshop, results and practical experiences of the EU project BioEUParks will be presented.

BioEUParks aims to establish efficient and sustainable supply chains in five European natural parks. This will be implemented through short supply circuits and small facilities in or in the surrounding area of nature parks.

During the workshop, informative lectures will provide an introduction to the subject and provide practical experience from the Natural Park Sölktäler (Austria). After, there will be a group discussion and opportunity to network with other experts.
Participation in the workshop is free. The space available is limited to 30 participants. Therefore, please register early at: m.mossbauer@fnr.de; Tel: +49 (0) 3843 / 6930-177

Contact: Dr. Matthias Mossbauer

Organizers of the workshop "biomass from sustainably managed natural parks - strategies for establishment of sustainable value chains" is the Agency for Renewable Resources (FNR). The workshop will be conducted in German. The event is a side event of the conference "Protected Areas in a Changing World" of the EUROPARC Federation. (http://www.europarc.org).
